The Equifax Credit Watch Gold with 3-in-1 credit monitoring in a nutshell provides you with:

1. Alerts to anything that changes on your credit reports at the 3 major credit bureaus. You get an email alert within 24 hours of changes to your credit file and an email alert within 7 days if suspicious activity is occurring.
2. Wireless mobile alerts available
3. Unlimited access to your credit report at Equifax
4. A free 3-in-1 credit report

ID Theft Coverage

You get coverage on identity theft costs with Equifax Credit Watch service to pay some of the costs that might be incurred due to the fraudulent activity.

While this service is good, my preference is to use LifeLock as my identity theft protection as coverage on costs incurred is up to $1 Million whereas Equifax only offers $20000 in identity theft coverage.
