What's the Best Airline Rewards Card
The Chase Flexible Rewards Platinum Visa Card is one of the most popular travel rewards credit cards on the market.
What makes this Chase card so popular?
In my opinion it is one of the few points cards on the market that does not have an annual fee attached to it. Most rewards cards have huge annual fees associated with them rendering the rewards to be almost not worth it.
Another great feature of this card is the 0% introductory interest rate. Earn travel miles, no interest for a year and no annual fee, that's what makes this Chase Credit Card on of the best on the market.
To see more travel rewards cards visit our airline rewards credit cards page to view up to the minute card offers. The applications listed there are in order of consumer popularity.

Credit Card Rewards - I'm Going to DisneyLand
In my last post I spoke of the benefits of credit card rewards and mentioned that I have enough points for a free flight even after having just traveled on my points.
Since it is Father's Day, I was talking to my family about what they would like to do this summer - just enjoying my 2 daughter's who are ages 3 and 5 and asking them what special thing they would like to do when school gets out in a couple weeks and the answer was a very eager "Let's go to DisneyLand Daddy" - By mid-summer, the rewards points on my credit card will be enough to fly my family down for a stay at the DisneyLand Hotel...Well, I might need to cover the cost of 1 or 2 nights but that's not too bad!
So I better go spend the last few minutes of Father's Day with my girls before they go to bed dreaming about our upcoming Disney trip!

Credit Card Rewards - Free travel is a great thing
Last week my wife and I needed a quick retreat away from the kids and everyday life. So I called the rewards redemption center that handles the rewards for my credit card and found that we had enough points for a free trip to Las Vegas.
That's right, an all (or most anyway) expenses trip to Vegas! We had a free car rental, hotel paid for and flight all on my Avion Visa Card. There's still enough points left over for another flight too!
For those who wonder if a reward card is really worth it, I would say yes!
I use my credit card predominately for business spending so the rewards add up very quickly for me. It took only about 7 months for me to earn enough points for the free trip. As with most rewards cards now there was no black-out dates on when I could travel and I was able to book the trip on very short notice. Booking it only a week prior to my travel date.
If you have good credit and don't have any rewards points tied to your credit card spending, you really must consider switching cards. The rewards of free travel are definitely worth it. I must excuse myself now and plan my next trip.

Credit Card Rewards - All the Extras
Credit cards offer you lots of rewards that make them attractive. They can offer savings on travel insurance, car rentals and travel expenses. For example, if you have a card that offers a "car rental collision and loss damage insurance waiver," you can decline to purchase the insurance offered by a car rental agency. This can save you up to $12 a day and can cover the annual cost of a card in just a few days.
Some credit cards offer medical coverage while you're travelling. This may not only save you money, but provide you with the convenience and peace of mind of knowing that coverage is automatic. However, there are usually limitations on the length of the trips covered. Check the insurance certificate carefully before you decide to buy.
Some credit cards offer insurance on the goods you buy so if they are lost, stolen or damaged, they will be fixed or replaced free. Some even offer you a rebate when your balance is paid so you can save on your overall purchases.
Some cards offer bonus points redeemable for merchandise; others have an affiliation with an airline that earns you travel points. Take advantage of these special characteristics to make your life easier and to save money. If you travel a lot, for example, then a credit card that offers special travel features may be the right one for you. These features may include:
Most credit cards offer a card registry service that sometimes includes the registration of important documents (e.g., passports, birth certificates, etc.) so you can retrieve those numbers any time with one phone call. If you've ever lost your wallet while travelling, you know what a pain it can be to contact all the proper authorities to report your missing cards. With the card registry service, it's done for you.
Some cards even offer insurance on the balance owing so that your balance will be paid off in the event of involuntary job loss or death.
Each insurance coverage package has exclusions and restrictions, and the details can be found in the individual insurance certificates. Take the time to clearly understand the terms and conditions for the insurance coverage offered before you decide on a credit card.
