Credit Card Song - Tis the Day Before Christmas
Tis the day before Christmas
And all through my wallet
Not bill is stirring
Not even a credit card
All through the malls
The shoppers are spending
Not me, this year
My wallet is thanking
Come the New Year
With bills oh so low
I will rejoice in knowing
There's few post holiday woes
So stop all your shopping
Just for a day
Rejoice in the people
And the time you spend
Tis not about dollars
But about joy
Give the credit cards a break
And take pride in saving your money
And finding joy with your honey
Hey, not bad for off the top of my head - Ok, gets a little weak near the end but I will be back to polish it off after some Christmas cheer.
Merry Christmas from the folks at Crediteria.com!

Ahhhh Life is Good and Incredibly Busy
Lately I have been feeling a bit down as I have simply been unable to find any time to work on my business. I was hoping to get things finished off before the end of the year on a new business project I have been working on and plan growth for my existing business.
I had to give my head a quick shake, let's take a look and figure out why I started feeling down:
1. About 5 years ago I left my "real job" for good
2. I haven't worked a 40 work week for the last 5 years, the longest week I put in was probably in the order of 25 hours.
3. I work part-time and make over $20,000/month
4. I goof off and take care of family stuff more than I work
Hmmm, what's wrong with me. I have made it!
I guess reflecting on where my business was last spring at $45,000 and now sitting at a meager $20k seems a bit depressing to me...But wait a minute, since July I have put in a maximum 10 hour work week. I spent the entire summer traveling around British Columbia (my home province) in the travel trailer which I paid cash for.
I guess the "busyness" of traveling, taking my kids to all their activities, Christmas preparation and throwing a move into a new house into the equation has mentally exhausted me.
Had I worked a solid 20 hour work week through the summer and up till now, my business income would have been $100,000/month but I shouldn't feel down. I am living the dreams of most people and currently my business has exceeded my expectations when I first began this journey of financial freedom.
What's the point to this? I'm not sure really, it's more of a brain dump to soothe my soul and get my head straightened on right.
Now, I must get ready for my daughter's pre-school Christmas concert where she will be belting out some favorite holiday songs.

Confidence - The Secret to Financial Success
When you possess an unbeatable confidence, you know the kind where you feel you can take anything life has to throw at you. You have seen these people I am sure.
There is an unmistakable aura about those that seem to be successful in everything they do.
Does it mean that highly confident people never fail? No! Those with confidence fail a lot but the difference is how they perceive the failure.
Those who have extreme confidence know that failure will come but they take those failures as learning opportunities and have 110 percent belief that they will conquer the failure and come out stronger than ever.
Think about what it is you want and why you don’t have it. Whether it’s getting control of your credit card debt, finding a better job or maybe launching your own business consider what it is in your mind that’s stopping you.
After you spend some time considering what is stopping you from achieving your dreams it will likely be a low level of self-confidence. Maybe you hear others saying “you can’t do that because…”, those “you can’t” statements from others enter your mind and when you hear the “you can’t” statements repeatedly you allow yourself to believe that and take it as truth.
The successful people in life take those negative statements and ignore them.
Next time you hear somebody trying to belittle your aspirations consider ignoring them. Perhaps it’s a co-worker or a friend. If that’s the case you should consider limiting your contact with that person until you have more confidence in yourself. I am not saying eliminate them from your life, what I am suggesting is that you work on your own confidence, start working towards your goals and gain a sense of accomplishment and then show the naysayer the success you have been having. Then guide them out of their pit of negativity.
Go on now, get out there and just do it!

Obsession with Luxury, The Demise of Humanity
What is it about our attitude today?
We want it all and we want it now! Whatever happened to waiting and working hard for the luxury items we want?
It is this obsession of luxury that is changing the definition of the pursuit of happiness.
Let’s all stop and ponder what luxury is for a moment:
For some that means a big house packed with “toys” and others it is a luxury vehicle.
Well, my friend, all those things you crave in life will do this:
1. De-Humanize you – The pursuit of happiness has become more like the pursuit of stuff. The obsession of chasing down “stuff” has deteriorated personal connection. Whatever happened to people connecting with each other and trying to make the world a better place?
2. Break the bank – The pursuit of stuff will not only de-humanize you it will sink you into a debt hole so deep that your great-grandchildren will be left trying to dig you out of debt.
Folks, you need to know that stuff will not make you happy, people will. If you are pursuing stuff, you are missing out on something much more important, connections with people.
Maybe, just maybe, if we all stopped trying to buy more stuff we could all be a little happier and the world might just follow us on this and become a place of harmony, co-existence and acceptance.
Perhaps if we all stopped our obession to acquire more stuff, we could all achieve our dreams!

Fund Your Future Now, It's Fun!!!
I have been going on endlessly about launching your own business using your credit card to get you out of debt and to start making money. In all my preaching I neglected to mention the fun that's involved if you get into the same biz as me.
I am right now in Orlando to attend Affiliate Summit. So far, arrived yesterday, walked through Downtown Disney - Lots of great street performers to see there!
This is part of what I call work. Traveling to conferences, which are not properly named. These events are more like parties.
I gotta run...I am off to do lunch now...then off for today's parties!

The Best Thing to do with your credit card
The best thing you can do with your credit card is to use it to create more money!
Hang on here, what's Colin yabbering about now, you ask?
Yes, your credit card, the very thing that might be sinking you into the pit of debt can actually be used to get you out of debt.
Hmmm...Let's see here. Using my credit card to get out of debt. Isn't this an oxymoron?
I have been using my credit card quite heavily as of late. I have been investing in my online business. Using my credit card to buy traffic from the major search engines and in turn having been guiding consumers to sources to buy goods and taking a commission on the sale.
Sound too good to be true? It's very real and true. I buy clicks on terms that are frequently searched and provide some solid information to help the consumer make an informed buying decision or show them where the best deals can be found. Maybe do a price comparison to direct them to the lowest prices on any given product and off they go to buy based upon my recommendations. Essentially the entire reason Crediteria.com exists.
Yes, I make a buck from running this site. You found Crediteria likely on an internet search.
I gauge how things are going with my valued visitors based on aggregate data from my server log files and based upon where most visitors are going I provide updates and more information.
Does this sound intriguing? If it does feel free to contact me via e-mail or post a response to the entry. Entries are not automatically published as I approve each one to ensure no abuse of this forum.

I have recently partnered with somebody to start my next business.
Importing binoculars - Yes, I am working with my partner to establish a new brand of binoculars.

How am I Going to Chip Away at This Debt Load???
Do you want more for your life? Struggling with those damn credit card bills?
Let me tell you this, you can have it all! No not overnight but there is a lot of money changing hands everyday and with all those monetary exchanges going on you can step in and take a piece of the pie and start chipping away at your debt load.
No, not everybody can do this - Stepping up and taking your piece of the pie is not easy. Well, it is easy, it's just confusing if you have never done it before.
It took me a few years to figure out how to step up and take my piece of the pie, but I have done it.
Once upon a time I had debt piling up and was a slave to the paycheck - A paycheck certainly does not get you out of debt. At best it will simply sustain your debt.
So what can you do about it?
The answer is quite easy - Start your own business. Huh??? What!!! I can't do that!!!
Yeah, yeah, yeah, I've heard it all...I can't start a business because of this that and the other excuse.
I had all the excuses in the book until I reached the point that my first daughter came into the world...now suddenly I had to provide for this precious little girl and working at a regular job did not allow me to provide the necessities that she would need. Heck, I could barely afford a monthly bus pass to get to work. So motivation set in and off I went to find a way to make more money.
I was forced into a situation that did not accept excuses and there I went like "ignorance on fire" and built my own business which gives my family a great lifestyle...bigger house, bigger vehicles, and best of all, food on the table. All this from the basement of my home.
Yeah, I still have debt. But I don't worry about how I am going to pay it because I operate my own business and when necessary I can go out and make more in a very short period of time.
I hope this posting changes the way you think about launching your own business and if you need some direction in getting started feel free to contact me...
Reply to this post and I will get back to you and help you launch yourself into "super-success" and get rid of you credit card debt.

Goals, Hopes, and Plans Can Be Destroyed by Debt – But there’s hope!
Your wildest dreams are actually quite attainable but if you are one of those who abuses and misuses their credit cards you are diminishing your chances of achieving your goals.
Most people set goals for something special they want or want to do in life and THE most common element holding dreamers back is money. Even if your hopes aren’t really money related, you may be held back from pursuing your dreams due to your job. The need for earning money is always an issue.
So what can be done, you might be buried in credit card debt and that is going to really impose a problem in pursuing your goals. I know the feeling all too well! It was only a few short years ago, 5 years ago to be exact, that I was a slave to the daily grind. I dreamed of freedom. For me freedom meant not having to set an alarm clock to get up in the morning only to battle rush hour traffic for a job which I could not stand.
In order for me to pursue my goal of freedom and quit that nasty job I had to find a way to pay off some bad debt. There is such a thing as good debt by the way. Good debt is debt that you take on in order to make money, such as an investment property or stock portfolio. Bad debt is debt that costs you money, where there is no chance of making the money back such as a car loan or purchasing gadgets on a credit card.
Now, working at my job there was no way to really get ahead and start paying off credit cards other than to try to squeeze in some overtime hours which was sporadic at best. I was fortunate enough to have a friend who started his own business which produced a lot more than I was making and allowed him the freedom to do what he wanted, when he wanted.
I wanted a piece of that action! So I helped him (for free) in his business and in return I learned the ropes of what to do to follow in his foot steps and make a great living for myself. A living that provides me with the freedom I dreamed of. Incidentally, I have been free from a job for almost 4 years now. That’s right, within a year of starting my own business I was able to leave the “real job” for good and now can work whenever I feel like working, not working because I have to.
If you work at a “real job”, that job is likely going to be the key factor in not being able to achieve your dreams. Your credit cards and other debt will definitely factor in too. To chase your dreams you are going to need to be “debt wise” and avoid any debts that are not going to produce a return on investment.
Stay tuned – More to come on getting rid of those credit card bills and how to earn more to pay off debt to chase your goals, hopes and dreams!
