Here is what one of our readers had to say:

My buddies and I had been planning a Mexican vacation for months. What better way to break up the winter “blahs” then to drive south to the land of endless sun. I don’t know about you but there is no better place to hang out and the Mexican people are some of the friendliest people on earth.

As a precursor to our trip we decide to take some Spanish lessons at our local Mexican restaurant before we headed out. We thought it would be a great way to try and connect with the people of Mexico and boy were we right! It’s amazing how much respect we got from the locals when they realized that we had taken the time to learn a little of their language. Don’t get me wrong we aren’t fluent in Spanish by any stretch of the imagination, but we learned enough to ask for directions and to get by in the shops. Most importantly to us we learned a few friendly lines to say. The Spanish language has to be the sexiest language in the world, just asking for a beer in Spanish sounds like a passionate statement.

The first ting on our list of things to do was to simply hit the beaches and relax. The sun rejuvenates the sole and we were in some serious need of recharging. There is nothing quite like soaking up rays and having only one decision to have to make, drinking beer or tequila or both!

After we spent a quality day of doing absolutely nothing we decide to check out the nightlife of Cancun. What a party town it is with all it’s night clubs. We started out at the Hard Rock Café which featured some excellent local musicians. After some great food and music we settled in for some serious bar hopping. If you are into the nightlife then Cancun is your kind of town because it rocks from dusk to dawn. It’s small enough that you can walk from bar to bar and if need be, there are always plenty of cabs standing by to take any overly happy tourists back to their hotel.

When you are heading out to have a great time in Mexico you want to take a credit card with you that won’t slow you down. One that will not only let you keep the good times rolling but one that will reward you just for bringing it along for the trip that’s why I chose the Chase PerfectCard Platinum MasterCard.

The Chase PerfectCard Platinum MasterCard gave us a 3% rebate on all of our gas purchases along the way. The Chase PerfectCard Platinum MasterCard also gives you a 1% rebate on all other purchases you make. Collecting the rebates is completely hassle free because they are credited to you automatically on your monthly statements. Add in the fact that there is a 0% introductory APR and a variable APR as low as 14.24% and you can see why the Chase PerfectCard Platinum MasterCard was the perfect travelling companion for us.
